The Mackenzie District supports the Zero Waste Strategy.
Rubbish Bins on the Main Street are sorted into recyclables and non recyclables.
Please take your rubbish with you if stopping at a site where there are no rubbish bins.
The Fairlie Resource Recovery Park is open from:
2.30 - 4.30pm Tuesday and Thursday
12.30-4.30pm Saturday and Sunday
Anne Thomson is the Heartlands Co-ordinator. Heartlands is about providing access to government services in your community.

The Mackenzie District Council is based in Fairlie with further offices in Twizel and covers
745,562 hectares from Albury through to Mt Cook.

Mackenzie Toy Library
The Mackenzie Toy Library on the Main Street, Fairlie, is open every Thursday from 11am - 1pm.
For ages 0 - 5 years
Annual membership is $25 for the first child and $5 for each extra child.
A great range of indoor and outdoor toys.

Fairlie Lions
There are four churches in Fairlie alone, and historic churches in nearby Cave, Burkes Pass and Tekapo. Most hold services every Sunday and some are available for weddings.
